The summer may be coming to an end but two of Scotland’s biggest music stars are keeping the #SunnyDundee campaign shining bright.
Ahead of their visit to Dundee on Sunday September 9, Dundonian and city ambassador Ged Grimes has been pictured sporting the bright yellow shades alongside pop sensation KT Tunstall.
The Simple Minds bassist gifted the glasses, adorned with the #SunnyDundee logo, to the Fifer who was happy to spread the message of the City of Discovery’s light-hearted tourism initiative.
Ged, who was also a founding member of Dundee legends Danny Wilson, shared a photo with the 43-year-old with caption “KT loves Sunny Dundee! See y’all soon.”
Tunstall and Simple Minds are on their Grandslam Summer Tour along with The Pretenders.
All three will take to the stage at Slessor Gardens a week on Sunday.
KT Tunstall previously told the Tele her musical journey started out in the city and was looking forward to returning.
She said: “I was playing my guitar on the flyover to the old leisure centre in the hammering rain when I was moved on by the police.
“It was awful. Fortunately I’ve done better in Dundee on subsequent occasions I’ve played there.
“I’m really looking forward to coming back.
“It’s coming home for me and I’m really excited.”
