Dundee is set for a huge employment boost with more than 750 benefits jobs set to come to the city, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon revealed today.
Scotland’s new social security agency will have its headquarters in the City of Discovery.
A total of 1,500 jobs will be split evenly between here and another base in Glasgow.
Ms Sturgeon made the announcement on a visit to the city today, where she met a variety of groups involved in social security.
The news comes in the wake of a series of high-profile job losses for the city in similar industries.
We’ll have more on this in today’s Evening Telegraph Late Extra.
