Dundee boss Jim McIntyre is swiftly set to bolster his options by adding free agent Martin Woods to his squad.
The former Ross County midfielder has been without a club since leaving Partick Thistle after their relegation last season and is set to be re-united with his former gaffer.
McIntyre signed Woods twice while gaffer in Dingwall, the first a month after taking charge before the 32-year-old had a spell down south with Shrewsbury before returning north.
Woods has been training with the Dark Blues since last week and was present at last night’s 3-0 defeat to Hearts.
He’s expected to become the manager’s first signing before next week’s home clash with Celtic.
Woods was previously linked Dens back in the summer but the move never materialised under the reigns of then-manager Neil McCann.
