Dundee United’s original Scottish Cup legend Ivan Golac will be back at Tannadice next month when he’s to be inducted in the club’s Hall of Fame.
The man with the magic hat famously led the Tangerines to their first-ever Scottish Cup success when he led them to a shock victory over Rangers at Hampden in 1994.
Ending United’s Hampden hoodoo that had seen them lose their previous six finals and his flamboyant managerial style made Golac an instant hero.
And now the club are recognising his contribution to their history by adding him to their Hall of Fame.
His name will join the likes of Doug Smith, Dave Narey, Paul Hegarty and Jim McLean on the roll of honour.
Also being inducted this year is former player Tommy Neilson, along with two others whose names are still to be revealed.
The Hall of Fame Dinner takes place in the West End Lounge at Tannadice on February 15.
