Icy conditions cause bread lorry to crash into wall and tree on local road

Wintry conditions caused a lorry to crash on a local road today.

The incident happened around 9.20am today on Albert Street in Tayport.

It’s understood the Kingsmill bread delivery vehicle hit a patch of ice and swerved in to a tree stump and wall.

Part of the wall was left damaged and a large branch was left on the road as a result of the smash.

The driver of the vehicle was uninjured but left shaken after the incident.

No other vehicles were involved.

The lorry was later removed from the scene by a recovery vehicle.
