Dundonians have voiced their surprise after a firm was advertising tickets to see Rita Ora in Dundee for just £19.
The singer will perform at Slessor Gardens in front of thousands of fans on Saturday, July 28.
Fans were originally asked to pay £39.50 for general admission or £55 to gain access to the golden circle.
However, an itison Dundee offer advertises general admission tickets to the gig for £19.
The bargain briefs went on sale through the “deal service” at 7am this morning, bragging of a 57% saving.
Folk in Dundee had sympathy with fans who forked out the full price.
Support worker Charlie McDonash, 61, told the Tele: “It’s unfair that people have bought them at that price and they’ve went on sale for £19. They’re just ripping people off.”
Student nurse Nicole Halliday, 21, said: “I know people who are going that got priority tickets and had to get babysitters to go and now the tickets are getting slashed so it really could have benefited them if the tickets were cheaper at the time.
“I’m really surprised it’s not busier and they’ve had to slash prices. I don’t remember them doing that for Little Mix and I thought Rita Ora was on the same level as them.”
An itison spokeswoman said: “We always aim to give our members access to the best quality experiences and today we’ve given several thousand people the chance to see the amazing Rita Ora live at Slessor Gardens.
“In the world we live in, prices fluctuate across all industries whether that’s a meal out or a break away, going to an event or booking travel – it’s part of today’s market place.
“We want to see more people having a great time and we hope everyone going to the concert will have a brilliant night.”
Itison also confirmed that multiple ticket purchases are being permitted.
A statement from Lizz Hobbs Group Live, the promoter behind the Slessor Gardens gig, read: “itison are a new ticketing partner which we intend to offer an allocation of tickets to at the launch of a new event to benefit all ticket buyers for concerts at Dundee Slessor Gardens.
“We are delighted that the allocation of tickets have been so well received and look forward to seeing everyone at Dundee Slessor Gardens on Saturday evening for what is sure to be another wonderful concert.”
