Simon Murray signed a loan deal with Dundee last night.

New loan signing Simon Murray can go straight into the starting line-up for Dundee this weekend at home to Ross County.

Taking on the bottom side in the Premiership at home may well be the perfect game to shrug off any disappointment for Dark Blues fans after the close of the transfer window.

Sofien Moussa has been first-choice striker lately but hobbled off in the Scottish Cup win over Inverness in midweek.

That knock isn’t serious but he could still find himself on the bench with a new forward on the scene.

Marcus Haber, meanwhile, was linked with a move to Hearts but remains at the club.

He’s been out with a back problem lately but returned to training this week and is nearing a return to fitness.

Also missing on Tuesday night in the Highlands were Josh Meekings, Paul McGowan and young striker Matty Henvey while Lewis Spence and Roarie Deacon made their long-awaited return from injury.
