Heartless yobs smashed into a Tayside church and stole money from charity collection bowls.
Hundreds of pounds are thought to have been taken when St John’s Kirk in Perth city centre was ransacked at the weekend.
Police say the incident happened sometime between 3.45pm and 8pm on Saturday at the St John’s Place church.
Officers are urging anyone who may have information to contact them.
A statement from the force read: “Police Scotland is appealing for information about a theft from St John’s Kirk in St John’s Place, Perth, between 3:45pm and 8pm on Saturday.
“Two glass charity money collection bowls near the entrance to the church were broken into and the money stolen from them.
“It is not known how much money was in them at the time, but they were nearly full and would have contained well into three-figures.
“We would like to ask anyone with any information which could help us, in particular if they saw anyone acting suspiciously within the vicinity of the church on Saturday afternoon or evening, to contact us on 101 or speak with any police officer.
