Hibs and Dundee ‘close’ to completing Simon Murray and Scott Allan deals

Hibs and Dundee have almost completed deadline day deals to switch players – albeit one via Celtic.

Scott Allan looks certain to join his former side, while Simon Murray will likely head back ‘home’ to Dens Park.

Allan’s loan deal at the Dark Blues will be terminated and Celtic will allow him to head back to the Hibees – similar to the Scott Bain situation.

As part of that, striker Murray, who only joined Neil Lennon’s side in the summer, will go to Dundee.

Speaking after tonight’s game, Hibs boss Neil Lennon said the deals were “close”.

He told the BBC: “It’s almost there. Simon is almost confirmed at Dundee and Scott is here.

“Sad news to lose Simon but very good news for us to bring a player of Scott Allan’s quality in.”

Meanwhile, no official announcement has been made in regards to Scott Bain and Jack Hendry’s move to Celtic.

However, Hendry’s agent shared an image from within Parkhead on social media indicating that a deal was imminent.
