Dundee striker Greg Stewart is set to complete his move to Birmingham City today.
After a hitch over personal terms was resolved the 26-year-old was travelling south for a medical at the English Championship club.
The deal will earn the Dark Blues an initial £500,000 but with add-ons that could rise to just over £1million.
Dundee’s star man has scored 32 goals in two seasons at Dens Park and also led the way with assists.
Manager Paul Hartley will move quickly to replace him but it looks unlikely any business will be completed before tomorrow’s lunchtime game with Rangers.
And while Dundee will have cash to spend on wages it looks unlikely they will pay a transfer fee for any new signing.
