Girl taken to hospital after incident at Dundee school

A girl has been taken to hospital after an incident at a Dundee school.

Police were called to St John’s RC High School at 10.45am.

The teenage pupil was treated at the school before being taken to Ninewells Hospital.

An ambulance, a police car and police van were seen outside the school building.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “We were called to attend St John’s RC High School at 10.45am at the request of the Scottish Ambulance Service.

“It was a medical matter.”

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 10.43am to attend an incident at St John’s High School, Dundee.

“We dispatched one ambulance to the scene.

“One patient in their teens was transported to Ninewells Hospital.”
