A charity beer festival which has raised more than £165,000 for the Broughty Ferry lifeboat will run again this year.
For almost two decades, the Fisherman’s Tavern beer festival has raised funds for the local branch of the RNLI and organisers are hoping this year’s event, which starts on Friday July 20, will be the biggest yet.
Kegs of beer from local breweries will be delivered on the Wednesday before the event by horse-drawn cart.
Last year, despite the bad weather, the weekend was able to raise more than £15,000.
Organiser Linda Parnell said: “This year we will have a gin bar to go alongside our prosecco bar. As well as that, we will have as many as 50 local and Scottish beers.
“Of these, 25 will be brewed locally, with the others coming from Scottish beer makers, most of which we have never had at the festival before.”
She continued: “The festival will take place over the course of Friday, Saturday and Sunday.”
