Coca-Cola Great Britain’s ParkLives programme in Dundee will play host to a range of free activities in parks across the city to celebrate Love Parks Week from Friday.
Run by Keep Britain Tidy, Love Parks Week encourages people to get out, enjoy some fresh air and celebrate the important role that parks can play in the local community.
Throughout the week, Dundee residents can join a variety of free ParkLives activities such as yoga and family tennis.
Events will be taking place at locations including Dudhope Park, which will be marking Love Parks Week by inviting families to come together for a big picnic on Tuesday.
As well as enjoying their lunch in the great outdoors, families will be able to join in with activities such as tennis, an obstacle course and messy play.
Liz Lowe, ParkLives lead at Coca-Cola Great Britain, said: “With more than 37 million people in the UK regularly using parks each year, it’s important that we support initiatives like Love Parks Week to encourage people to step up to enjoy green spaces.
“Taking part in outdoor activities with others has proven to have a positive impact on mental wellbeing, encouraging communities to come together and making new friendships.”
The ParkLives timetable will run throughout the summer months.
