Dundee’s search for a goalscorer appears to be continuing with now free agent Kenny Miller once more said to be on the club’s radar.
Within hours of the former Rangers and Scotland striker’s player-manager role with Livingston coming to an end, Miller has been heavily linked with a move to St Mirren.
He’s been in talks with the Buddies for the past few days and the Paisley side remain favourites to snap Miller up but the lack of an agreement has seen a number of clubs begin to circle.
And Dundee have been named as one of those suitors with an established goalscorer still missing from their ranks, despite last week’s signing of Finnish international Benjamin Kallman.
Meanwhile, Paul McGowan is expected to be available once more for manager Neil McCann as they bid to grab a first league victory of the season at McDiarmid Park.
McGowan missed last week’s 3-0 home defeat to Ayr United with a groin problem but returned to training this week.
Should he prove his fitness, he’ll go straight into the manager’s starting line-up.
Also expected to return is fellow-midfielder Glen Kamara. After suffering an ankle injury following the first game of the season at Stirling Albion, the 22-year-old came off the bench against the Honest Men last week.
WIth another week under his belt, the Finn will be ready to make his first league appearance of the campaign against St Johnstone today.
Genseric Kusunga, however, will be missing after his straight red card last week brought a one-game suspension. Sofien Moussa’s red, meanwhile, only brings a League Cup ban as it was for two yellow cards.
