Locals are rallying round to help the family of a 10-year-old boy found dead in a tragic incident in Coupar Angus.
The body of Kane Morris was discovered at an address in the town’s Union Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.
An eight-year-old girl was also found seriously injured within the address and remains in a critical condition in Ninewells Hospital.
A 37-year-old man has been arrested by officers.
Coupar Angus residents have paid tribute to the “funny, happy little boy”.
Now, Perth woman Rachel Linney has set up a fundraiser looking to raise a minimum of £1,000 to help Kane’s family through the tough time.
She wrote: “I don’t know Kane but like most of the Perthshire community I have been moved and shocked by the death of this wee lad.
“I can’t imagine what his family are going through at this terrible time. At times like this we can feel so helpless but something we can do is offer some financial help.
“Let’s offer our support as a community to honour Kane’s memory. Any money raised will be donated to Kane’s family to use as they see fit. Fly high little man.”
