More than 50 workshops, activities, tours, talks, events and festivals have been announced for the first Dundee Design Month, which will take place in May.
Delivered by the team behind Dundee’s Unesco City of Design designation and the Dundee Design Festival, the month celebrates design in all its forms, bringing together a range of activities in one brochure and website.
Events include the Dundee Design Parade on May 26, which will see more than 500 young people come together to parade through the city.
Factory Shop, an exhibition of factory products made by designers from last year’s Factory Residency Programme, will also go on show at an empty unit in Reform Street, from May 18-28.
Other attractions include Generation ZX(X) — a “thank you” to the ladies of Timex, who helped create the video game industry, and V&A Dundee: Is it for me?, where the V&A team will visit venues across the city to talk about what to expect from the museum when it opens later this year.
