Firefighters attended a car on fire at a Dundee car park.
The damaged vehicle was left on West Henderson Wynd.
The incident was reported to police at 4.20am today.
One police vehicle attended the scene, and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was contacted.
A fire appliance arrived on the scene at 4.37am to deal with the incident.
The appliance from the Blackness fire station used one hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
Police said inquiries were continuing into the incident while the fire service said they could not rule out the blaze having been caused by an electrical fault.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “We attended a report of a car fire in West Henderson’s Wynd at 4.20am this morning.
“It appeared to have a foreign number plate.
“The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has said they cannot rule out an electrical fault.”
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “An appliance was called out to a fire at West Henderson Wynd, Dundee, at 4.27am this morning. One vehicle was alight.
“Two hose reels were used along with breathing apparatus.
“Once the fire was under control, the crew left the scene at 4.54am.”
