Three people have been taken to hospital after a vehicle crash in Tayside.
Police closed off the A85 west of Perth following the two-car collision at about 11.30am.
The incident involved a silver Ford Fiesta car and a blue Volkswagen Touran car.
Fire crews freed one person from the wreckage by removing the roof of the car.
The 52-year-old driver of the Fiesta sustained serious chest injuries and was taken by air ambulance for treatment in Glasgow.
The male driver of the Touran was taken to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee with serious leg injuries, along with the female passenger of the car who had sustained minor injuries in the collision.
The road was closed in both directions to allow investigation into the circumstances and has now re-opened.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were notified of a road traffic collision at 11.37am.
“Two cars were involved. One person was trapped in the vehicle. They were removed by firefighters who cut the roof off the vehicle.”
Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses who may have been travelling on the A85 and who may have seen either of the vehicles prior to the collision, or who have any information to assist with enquiries to contact Police Scotland on 101.
