Residents and businesses in Carnoustie have rallied round to ensure the town can get into the Christmas spirit.
A fundraising campaign was launched after Angus Council announced earlier this year that it could no longer subsidise festive lights displays in local towns.
Carnoustie Community Council led calls for people to help ensure that the Christmas lights would still go up.
More than £3,000 was later raised and community representatives turned out to lend a hand in putting up the lights, with the help of local firm DJ Laing, which loaned equipment to help with the work.
