The family of a missing man have thanked the public and those who joined in his search following the discovery of a body on a local railway line.
Malcolm McGraw was reported missing from his home address in the Pitlochry area at around 11pm on Friday.
Extensive search efforts were carried out to find the 74-year-old with specially-trained officers drafted in.
The search came to an end on on Tuesday night after the remains of a man were found at the railway line by the Perthshire town.
Police have yet to formally identify the man, however Mr McGraw’s family have issued a statement saying they can now “grieve properly”.
Posting on social media, his daughter Ishbel also paid tribute to the two women who came across the body.
She wrote: “On behalf of the whole family we would like to say thank you. To all of you.
“Your efforts to find my father were incredible. He would have been astonished, humbled, and to be honest, embarrassed by how many people cared about his well being.
“Our hearts breaks for the poor ladies that had the misfortune of finding him. But we are grateful that he was found and we can now grieve properly as a family.
“We will be forever in debt for the love and support that we have received from this incredible community.
“With all our love, The McGraws.”
