Dundee forward Faissal El Bakhtaoui has rejoined Dunfermline on a season-long loan.
The French-Moroccan was a major hit during his previous stint with the Pars between 2012 and 2016.
But he struggled to recapture that form after he stepped up two divisions to join the Dark Blues.
And although he netted eight goals in 66 appearances for the Dens Park outfit, boss Neil McCann has decided he can do without the 25-year-old this term.
The pacey attacker’s contract with Dundee expires next summer and it looks like he’ll have pulled on the dark blue jersey for the last time.
El Bakhtaoui said on social media: “I would like to thank Dundee for my time at the club and I wish you all the best for the future.”
Dunfermline chairman Ross McArthur said: “We are all naturally delighted to confirm the return of Faissal.
“We would like to thank Dundee, and in particular chief executive Eric Drysdale for their assistance and co-operation in the transfer.”
