Factory Shop, a new display space in Reform Street, has opened to the public with a one-week exhibition as part of Dundee Design Month.
The exhibition includes prototypes and products made by designers in factories as part of last year’s Dundee Design Festival Factory Residency Programme.
Designers Tommy Perman and Simon Kirby worked with Tayport-based manufacturer FifeX as well as Old School Fabrications in Edinburgh to make a series of sculptural sound devices.
For the Factory Shop exhibition, they’ve used what they’ve learned to turn the shopfront window into a giant speaker that responds to the changing light of the day.
Pictured – the window plays music for Unesco worker Annie Marrs.
