Motorists have been advised that roadworks on a key route in Dundee have been extended by two nights.
Work on the A90 close to Strathmartine Road will take place on Sunday and Thursday between 7.30pm and 6.30am due to heavy rain affecting resurfacing and lining operations this week.
No works will take place on Saturday night to minimise disruption to weekend traffic, or on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday nights next week.
Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s North East Representative, said: “Heavy rain can have a significant impact on road materials during surfacing and lining operations such as this and although the weather is outwith our control, our teams will continue to do all they can to minimise disruption and complete the works as quickly and safely as possible.
“We thank motorists for their continued patience while the road improvements are completed.”
The resurfacing works are worth almost £190,000.
