Former Dundee United skipper Sean Dillon has been shortlisted in the 2017/18 PFA League Two Player of the Year award after a superb season with Montrose.
The Tannadice Hall of Famer has excelled as club captain at Links Park as the Gable Endies have put themselves on the verge of a first promotion to the third tier in 22 years.
Dillon left the Tangerines last summer, signing a two-year deal as a player-coach at Montrose and has featured 42 times this season, scoring twice.
With two matches left in the season, the Angus side have a three-point lead over Peterhead at the top of League Two.
Dillon is joined in the nominations by Darren Smith of Stirling Albion and Peterhead’s Rory McAllister and Willie Gibson.
The winner will be announced on Sunday April 29.
