Former Dundee star Greg Stewart looks to be heading back north of the border this summer.
After his £500,000 move, rising to £1 million with add-ons, to Birmingham City last summer, Stewart has struggled to hold down a first-team place.
The highly-rated 27-year-old made 22 appearances for the Blues last season, although most of those were cameo appearances from the bench late into the second half of games.
That has led to interest from Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs for a loan move.
Neil Lennon is eyeing up the forward as a replacement to Jason Cummings, while Ian Cathro and Derek McInnes are admirers of Stewart.
It is highly unlikely that the former fans’ favourite would return to Dens Park – other than as part of an opposing team.
The Dee did approach Birmingham previously as to a loan move, but it’s not likely Stewart will ever pull on a Dark Blue jersey again.
