A new public awareness week in Dundee will champion the use of technology in health and shine a light on how the public can use smartphones and computers to improve their lives.
Discover Digital will launch at Dundee Science Festival next month.
Visitors to the science centre will be able to test gadgets that can keep them safe, see how interactions with doctors might be carried out via video-conferencing and learn about the ways technologies such as 3D printing, smart speakers and virtual reality can be used to boost health and wellbeing.
The aim is to raise awareness of the support available and involve the public in shaping the range of digital healthcare technologies in the future.
Health Secretary Jeane Freeman said: “The Discover Digital events on October 21 are the first of their kind across the UK.
“The Scottish Government is committed to supporting people to better manage their own health.”
