A Dundee retail unit that has lain empty for more than two years is set to be divided into two and partially demolished in a bid to attract new tenants.
The premises formerly occupied by discount store Poundstretcher on Lochee Road, beside the Dudhope roundabout, has been unused since the chain moved into a larger adjacent unit.
However, site owners Torridon Developments, based in Broughty Ferry, has asked for permission to carry out works on the unoccupied unit.
Part of the unit, towards Blinshall Street, will be demolished to make way for extra car parking, including electric car charging points.
What remains will be divided into two new smaller retail units.
The request for a building warrant was preceded by a formal planning application which was approved by Dundee City Council in 2017.
The council will make a decision on the works by February 12.
