A lifeboat was scrambled after a sailing boat came loose from its mooring in the Tay in Dundee.
A member of the public spotted that the boat had come to a halt earlier this afternoon as they were driving along Douglas Terrace.
They said: “It’s slipped its mooring. It’s about 30 feet long.
“I phoned the coastguard. I thought the response was excellent.”
A spokesman for the Broughty Ferry RNLI said “It has broken it’s mooring, we got it before it run aground.
“They are busy putting it on a different mooring now.”
The Coastguard confirmed they were called at 3.06pm.
