Elderly man, 75, dies after Tayside road accident

A 75-year-old man has died from injuries sustained in a road crash in Tayside.

The incident involved two cars — one towing a caravan — and took place shortly after 1pm on the A9 just south of Pitlochry on Sunday August 20.

It is thought one of the vehicles may have left a layby moments before the collision.

At the time, Police Scotland said none of the three casualties had life-threatening injuries.

His next of kin have been informed and a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
