Dundee flop Yordi Teijsse has left the Dens Park side, the club have confirmed.
The big Dutch striker was signed by then-boss Paul Hartley from amateur side Quick Boys in May last year.
After joining the club, Hartley said the 24-year-old could become the ‘new Greg Stewart’.
However, Teijsse failed to make the grade and only made three starts for the Dark Blues, scoring once in the 7-0 League Cup win over Forfar.
At the start of the year, he was shipped out to German fifth division side Wuppertaler. There he made 12 appearances and netted twice.
Earlier this month Yordi told a Danish newspaper how he didn’t want to come back to Dens Park.
He said: “I am supposed to report back to training at Dundee on June 23 but whether I will actually return there, I really don’t know.”
A statement from Dundee FC today said:”We would like to thank Yordi for his efforts while with the club and wish him all the best for the future.”
