Dunfermline’s change of leadership could see Dundee pair James Vincent and Faissal El Bakhtaoui return to Dens Park.
The duo have been on loan at East End Park since the summer after being surplus to requirements under former Dark Blues gaffer Neil McCann.
However, those season-long deals could be cut this month after the Pars parted company with boss Allan Johnston during the week.
With Stevie Crawford now in charge, futures of all players at the Championship club are up in the air.
And that could mean Vincent and El Bakhtaoui returning to Dundee.
Vincent has been out of the picture at Dens since making his last appearance for the club in September 2017 and spent the second half of last season on loan at East End Park.
However, with Jim McIntyre short of midfield options right now he could see an unlikely return to first-team action at Dens Park should the new manager at East End Park not fancy the former Inverness Caley man.
El Bakhtaoui, meanwhile, has had a poor time of it on his return to the Pars, scoring just the one league goal.
In his 18 Championship appearances this campaign, the French-Moroccan’s only strike has been from the spot after initially getting off to the perfect start with two goals on his debut in the Betfred Cup.
After being signed by Paul Hartley in July 2016, El Bakhtaoui failed to hit the form he’d shown in his first spell at Dunfermline where he rattled in goals for fun in League One.
In 66 appearances for the Dark Blues, the former professional futsal player managed just the eight goals.
Both Vincent and El Bakhtaoui’s contracts at Dundee end this summer.
