Dundee defender Darren O’Dea’s injury has responded well during the international break.
As revealed by the Tele last week, the big Irishman had been taking pain-killing injections to get through games.
He picked up the foot problem just over a month ago in the home draw against Kilmarnock where he had to come off just before half-time.
However, the big central defender has made himself available for all the games played since, putting in some fine performances at the back for the Dark Blues.
Boss Paul Hartley praised his skipper and is delighted he has been able to train right through the international break with no ill-effects.
“Darren has been OK and has recovered well from the kick. He was able to train fully all of last week, too.”
The influential centre-back will have benefitted from the weekend off, which ensures he should be pain-free for the Dee’s trip to Hearts.
