Dundee’s first-ever craft beer festival has been hailed a success.

The event was held at Bonar Hall, Park Place, featuring more than a dozen breweries.

The festival was the brainchild of Harbro Events, run by husband and wife team Andy and Kirsty Ure, from Falkirk.

Andy said they sold about 850 tickets to the festival, dubbed Craft Beer Discovery.

He said: “We were really happy with that — it’s not bad for the first time holding it. We are expecting to hold it every year. Dundee is an up-and-coming city at the moment and it has been crying out for events like this.”
