Dundee United’s deadline-day signing Rachid Bouhenna could make his first appearance in tangerine when Championship action resumes against Morton at Tannadice on Saturday.

The 27-year-old was the final arrival in manager Csaba Laszlo’s massive summer signing programme when he joined up on a two-year deal on August 31.

He was not included for the trip to Alloa the following afternoon but could be involved at some point this weekend.

With Frederic Frans and Paul Watson forming a solid partnership in central defence over the past few games – Watson has also grabbed three goals in his last two outings – the French-born Algerian stopper may have to be content with a place on the bench.
