Dundee United ladies have clinched another league title to move up to the Scottish Women’s Premier League 2.
More than 400 Arabs saw the Tangerines lift the SWFL 1 North trophy at Tannadice on Sunday after a 7-2 win over Cove Rangers.
Neve Guthrie, Megan Burns, Jade McLaren, Natalie Cromar and Ashton Brackin were all on the scoreesheet with Laurie Denny bagging a brace.
United’s fate was in their own hands and they won the league by four points with the weekend’s result confirming the league title.
Nearest side East Fife could only draw with Dunfermline.
Jade McLaren said: “I’m ecstatic. We all pulled together and put in a brilliant performance.
“I knew we could the job and we did it convincingly. I’ve played Premier League football before and it will be good to be back up there challenging again.”
The league win means the Tangerines will move up to face the likes of Aberdeen, Hearts and St Johnstone.
