Dundee United’s Scott Allardice is “exceeding expectations” on loan at East Fife.
Methil boss Darren Young has praised the 19-year-old midfielder for showing the maturity of a seasoned professional in his two games in League One.
Allardice joined the Fifers on an emergency 28-day loan last month and has featured against Ayr United and Albion Rovers.
And he should be able to play twice more before the end of the current deal.
Young said: “Scott has come in and done really well. We knew he was a good player when he was coming on board from United but he has exceeded expectations so far.
“He has been very composed in everything he has done and helped steady things.
“He is only a teenager, however he has a calmness about him that makes you think he is a lot older. Hopefully, that will help him throughout his career.”
