Dundee United boss Csaba Laszlo has hinted at even more January transfer business.
Yesterday, the Tangerines completed the signings of defender Brandon Mason and forward Emil Lyng following the announcement of the loan deal for Craig Slater.
The speed with which the manager has moved since the window opened on Monday shows he’s been working on his signing plans for some weeks.
And the recent spate of injuries that have hit his squad made getting people in early a matter of urgency.
Having done that, he is now likely to take time to study the market before making another move.
When it comes, it will be to add another front man.
Since he took over from Ray McKinnon in November, Csaba has largely relied on Scott McDonald to lead his attack.
He’s praised the veteran striker for his contribution but not hidden his desire for more depth in that area.
“It is very important that if we go in the market to look for players, we look for players who will fit in with our style of players and it’s not just about money,” he said.
“We have been given money to spend, and we will try to spend it carefully and not just throw it out and we bring in players to take us forward.”
