A taxi driver is to stand trial over claims that he injured a pedestrian.
Nigel Smart, of Ballindean Terrace, allegedly committed the offence on September 15 while on duty on Dayton Drive.
He denies that while in the course of his employment as a taxi driver, he drove without due care and attention by driving at excessive speed, completing a U-turn when unsafe to do so and colliding with Thomas Carrie, injuring him in the process.
Smart, 53, further denies a charge of failing to stop and give his name and address. He is also alleged to have failed to report the incident to police within 24 hours.
Sheriff Alastair Brown set a trial at Dundee Sheriff Court for February 20.
