French U/20 internationalist Louis Nganioni has joined Dundee as a trialist on their preseason trip to Portugal.
The 23-year-old is a product of the Olympique Lyonnais youth system and made 52 appearances for their B team in the fourth tier of French football.
Nganioni who operates at left back never featured for the first team at Lyon and was sent out on loan to Utrecht in the Dutch Eredivisie in 2015 before another loan spell at French second tier side Brest the following season.
Most recently, he joined MLS side New York red Bulls on trial at the end of May where he trained with the first team squad.
Ultimately, he did not do enough to earn a deal in the US and is now with Neil McCann’s squad.
He featured in Dundee’s 4-0 defeat to Portimonense yesterday and hopes to do enough to earn a deal at Dens Park.
Nganioni, who is of Congolese descent, has represented France at U/16 to U/20 levels.
