Staycations to remain popular this summer, as bookings for trips abroad next year rise

Covid-19 is likely to lead to further staycations for Dundonians this summer – with one city travel agent admitting fewer people are risking booking a holiday abroad in 2021.

A leaked memo from Scotland’s clinical director Jason Leitch to Scottish Government civil servants warned foreign travel would be unlikely by this summer.

And Mr Leitch warned it may not be possible to leave Scotland on vacation until 2022.
