A smoothie thief who admitted his sixth shoplifting offence has been placed under supervision.
Piotr Chwastek, of Main Street, previously pleaded guilty to stealing electrical equipment and a smoothie from Asda, Milton of Craigie, on January 30.
The 31-year-old appeared from custody to be sentenced by Sheriff John Rafferty.
The court previously heard that Chwastek had become homeless not long after losing his job at a local recycling centre.
Solicitor Morgan Day said her client had made “significant progress” in terms of his circumstances and had been engaging with mental health support.
Chwastek was sentenced to 24 months of supervision with a conduct requirement to consult his GP with regard to further treatment.
