A Broughty Ferry restaurant could soon be open after midnight.
Forgans bistro on Brook Street has submitted a proposal to Dundee City Council to extend its opening hours at the weekend.
The premises could stay open until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays, if the plan is accepted.
The proposal states: “Forgans has been a well received and successful addition to the food and drink offers in Broughty Ferry and is very much consumer demand led.
“Customers are telling the applicant they’d like to be able to utilise the premises later at the weekends.”
The proposal asks the planning authority to allow later licences throughout the year, rather than just for special events.
It also states the business has never received a noise complaint and has a positive relationship with its neighbours.
The application has been validated by the council.
