A Dundee playpark will soon receive a long-awaited £90,000 facelift.
Improvement work at the playpark in Lochee Park is due to begin at the end of the month.
Councillor Fraser Macpherson, whose ward includes the park, said signs would soon be put in place to inform the public about the closure of the park.
He said: “The new proposals look great and will be a huge improvement. The playpark could well do with modernisation and new play equipment.”
Plans for the improvements to the playpark were first discussed last August when Mr Macpherson, council officers and residents’ group Community Spirit Action held a walkabout.
He said: “Refurbishment will include the redesign of the existing play area, with additional new equipment providing interest, enhancing the area and providing a fully inclusive play environment.”
