Asda is helping a local school with much-needed funding, just in time for Christmas.
Asda Kirkton and the Asda Foundation presented a cheque for £500 to Sidlaw View Primary School as part of its quarterly green token scheme.
Samantha Will, community champion for the Kirkton store, was on hand to present the large festive cheque to pupils Taylor Tarbett, who is in P3, Rhys O’Rourke who is in P4, and school and family development worker Melissa Cowan.
Samantha said: “Sidlaw View won quarter three’s Green Token Giving at Asda Kirkton, meaning they received the £500 cheque.
“They plan to use this money for things to play on in their outdoor space.
“One of the boys said he was hoping to get goalposts.
“They were in the competition with the Scottish SPCA and St Paul’s RC Academy, who both received cheques for £200.”
