Perth Railway Amateur Boxing Club official Stevie Petrie describes 17-year-old Luke Bibby as the most dedicated boxer he has seen.
“Luke is out running at 6am every day and is in the gym training most days too,” said Stevie.
“Luke has a great future ahead of him and the next Commonwealth Games in four years time is a possibility for him.
“He has won Scottish titles in the novice, intermediate and elite classes and next season will move up to the senior class.
“That is a big step up but, with a 13-wins three-losses record so far, Luke has a great chance of continuing to do well.
“He has been at the club for three or four years and is a terrific inspiration for the others in our squad.
“I’ve seen a lot of good prospects at the club and he is one of the best.
“We have a show coming up at Perth’s Salutation Hotel on May 6 and Luke will likely feature on that.
“It will give him another chance to show Fair City fight fans what he can do.”
