It may have been competing with a royal wedding and brilliant sunshine, but a Dundee school’s fayre still raised £600.
Lynne Rihoy, Chairperson of the Claypotts Castle Primary Parent Council, said the fayre was a success.
“It wasn’t as busy as previous fayres, but given the royal wedding and the fabulous weather outside, we still managed to raise around £600,” she said.
Kids were treated to face-painting, a visit from the local police and other games.
“It seemed to be quite popular,” she said.
Lynne said the event was one of two the Parent Council organised each year, with the money raised going back to the school to fund books, school trip, leavers jackets and other things the school couldn’t cover.
