Memories came flooding back for Agnes Brown when a family member spotted her in the Tele’s Back in the Day feature.
The picture — taken in 1994 — showed Agnes and a number of other ladies camping out for tickets to see Irish superstar Daniel O’Donnell.
The 70-year-old, from Whitfield, said: “It wasn’t the first time I had camped out for tickets to see Daniel.
“It was freezing all night but I had my feet in black bags which seemed to keep them warm.
“Seeing the photo brought back loads of really great memories.
“It was a fantastic night. We hid vodka in the flasks as they said we weren’t allowed to drink it unless it was hidden.”
Although Agnes didn’t know any of the other ladies, she remembers that one of them had won the chance to spend the day with Daniel and visit his house.
“I was so jealous — that was the competition everyone wanted to win,” she said.
Agnes is still a big fan of the singer.
She said: “He has an absolutely amazing voice and I have travelled all over to see him a number of times.
“I would go to a lot of the concerts with my sister-in-law Linda who has also been my best friend since we were young.
“We were always at the front of the gigs — I wouldn’t sit anywhere else.
“It was fantastic seeing the picture from the night that I went and camped for the tickets.
“With it being such a long time ago it was fantastic to relive all the memories.”
