A group of Perth High School pupils, accompanied by several staff, are visiting Douglas in South Africa’s Northern Cape.
They are visiting their twin school, Bongani High.
During their two-week stay, the pupils will attend lessons and work in the impoverished community.
Perth High has a long association with Bongani High and has equipped the South African school with many items.
Teacher Margo Feron is making her 15th trip to Bongani.
Two of the pupils on the trip, Lauren Smith and Annabelle Clos, plus teacher Heather McLaren, raised £700 by making a bungee jump.
That money will help fund a visit to Perth by Bongani staff and pupils in June.
Lauren said: “Our South African trip will be an amazing two weeks.
“During our link with Bongani, an incredible amount has been raised to bring Bongani folk over here.”
