Nominations are now open for this year’s Volunteer Awards event.
Volunteer Dundee will host an award ceremony on June 7 to recognise and celebrate the hard work and dedication of the city’s volunteers and their volunteer managers.
More than 26,000 adults give up their time to various causes and charities across the city.
A spokesperson said: ‘‘We want to take this opportunity to recognise those volunteers who have given so much back to their communities through their volunteering.
“We will also recognise those who support volunteers to give them an excellent volunteering experience through the volunteer manager of the year category.
‘‘We want to hear from family, friends, organisations, community groups, volunteer who want to nominate an individual, team or volunteer manager to be recognised in the following categories — volunteer team of the year, volunteer of the year, Katherine Mackenzie make a difference award, lifetime achievement award, board/trustee of the year, and volunteer manager of the year.
The lifetime achievement award will go to a person who has given their time and commitment over many years, who through their dedication and hard work have supported an organisation and people in Dundee.
Volunteer manager/co-ordinator of the year will have ensured that their volunteers feel valued and their contribution is recognised and are always seeking new opportunities to develop and further enhance the volunteering experience.
