Perth baton twirler Ciaran Muir is set to make history this summer.
Ciaran will be the first Scottish lad to appear at the European Baton Twirling Championships when he takes to the stage in Dublin in July.
The 10-year-old will then set his sights on the World Championships in Glasgow later this year.
Ciaran, a pupil at Dunbarney Primary, Bridge of Earn, is a member of the Dardas Diamonds squad which is based in Glenrothes under the tutelage of Alanna Dardas.
Not only is Ciaran a keen baton twirler but he is also coached in ballet and street dance at the Inspire Studios in Perth.
Ciaran has been involved in dance and baton twirling since he was a wee tot and is a member of the Great Britain baton twirling junior freestyle squad.
He recently won the British baton twirling junior freestyle individual title in Blackpool for the fourth year in a row.
Mum Sarah said: “Ciaran has done really well and is looking forward to the Europeans and Worlds.
“It’s mostly girls he’s competing against but there are other boys as well. He’s won quite a few things and, hopefully, there are more to come.”
